The middle child and only daughter of Benjamin and Quinn Orlando, Jasmine Victoria grew up like any other small town girl. She was loved by her parents, doted on by her older brother, and in turn kept an eye on her younger brother. Jasmine was pretty and popular, sweetness personified. But she also had a dramatic streak, one that she satisfied by putting on one-woman concerts for anyone who would listen. Her parents put her into dance classes at an early age, and by high school, she was both president of the drama club and on the cheerleading squad.

And even though Jasmine always felt like she was meant for something bigger than Joplin, when it came to college, she elected to stay close to home. Her boyfriend Caden had also stayed local, and Jasmine believed that they were meant to be together forever. He was her first love, her first boyfriend, her first... everything. They were a small town high school dream couple, and Jasmine didn't want to risk that for the sake of trying for a career in acting that may or may not have worked out in the end.

College, however, wasn't really the best fit for Jasmine. While she liked her classes, she wasn't really passionate about them, so she stuck around long enough to get her associate's degree and then went to get certified as a hairstylist and makeup artist. She had always loved playing with her mother's makeup as a child, and she was always in charge of helping the cast of her high school musicals with their own looks before they took the stage. So it was a natural fit for her, and before long, she was working in a local salon doing hair, and offering makeup artist services on the side for a fee.

Everything in Jasmine's life seemed to be going well, until Christmas of 2014, when Jasmine realized that she was over two months late. She panicked, her parents panicked, Cade panicked... it was a bad time. But the doctor's office and the home pregnancy tests weren't lying - Jasmine was pregnant, due in July of 2015. She was still living with her parents, and it seemed like everything would be okay. She and Cade had a little bit of money saved up, and they were committed to saving more so that they could give their child everything it could ever want.

On July 10, 2015, Brooklyn Doughetry was brought into the world, and Jasmine immediately fell in love. However, the relationship between her and Cade wasn't ready for the months of struggle that followed their newborn. Brooklyn was a colicky baby, Jasmine wasn't sleeping, and slowly everything between her and Cade disintegrated. But Jasmine is still committed to making things with Caden work, at least as co-parents, and so far they've done well with this aspect of their relationship.

In 2017, Jasmine and her cousins received a summons from a family attorney that changed their lives forever. The family's old diner was restored and re-opened, with her little brother even taking on a management position there. And while Jasmine wasn't terribly interested in food service, her share of the inheritance was enough to purchase a small house in Joplin, with enough room for her and her daughter.
